prayer, Tia Coleman's faith and the "grace of God"
Duck Boat Survivor Shares Heartbreaking Story | The Weather Channel
Tia Coleman interview about losing nine family members: 'I thought I was dead'
Alternately emotional and remarkably composed in a news conference from the hospital Saturday, Tia Coleman paid tribute to her husband, three children and five other family members she lost in the duck boat tragedy.
"I don't know if there is a recovery from it," Coleman said. "The biggest thing is a lot of prayer. A lot of prayer, a lot of support. It's only the beginning so I don't know."
"It's not a thinking matter for me. I tried it," she said. "It's something I can't comprehend, I can't explain. I don't have the capacity to understand it. The only thing is, God must have something for me because there's no way I should be here."
"... when they pulled me up onto the boat I didn't see any of my family, but I believe I survived by the grace of God and by good Samaritans."
